walk for water

Today I woke up at 6:15 very grumpy. I ate breakfast, and grabbed my buckets and my mom walked the dogs with me. When I got to the park I fell asleep and once John asked if anyone had not filled their buckets and I filled mine. Once we started walking i felt the strain. the buckets are heavy as hell. After many breaks I saw chase and he didn't have water for reasons I do not know and he helped me carry the bucket. After we got to the school I grabbed the backpack and headed to class.

a visit with famory

I was packing my bags for Mali when i realized i needed money. i converted my money into west African francs, and got on the plane. i had paid for a translator so he came too. when we arrived in Mali i went to Sikasso. i asked some people if they knew were famory's store was. they led me to it and i told famory that i had given him part of his lone and he said  "oh, hello how are you?" "I am good and you" "i'm okay" he said. i stayed in his store and he said to help refuel a car. the gasoline reeked and i held my nose. while he was still selling i bought a soda from him. i could't read the name due to it being printed in french but it had a lemon and a lime so i trusted it. once the sun went down, he led me to his house. it was somewhat nicer than marugue's house. he cooked another african dish and it tasted good as usual. once i woke in the morning, famory was boiling some water. "want some tea?" he asked. "Sure what the heck" i replied. it tasted somewhat bitter and i asked if he had any sugar or honey. "not very much sugar but you can have the rest" i took half of what was left as to be polite. he went back to the shop and the following days were somewhat uneventful. towards the end of my time there we actually received a surplus amount of money. he asked what he should do with it and i said, "improve the building, make it a little fancier" the revised building was merely given better paint. also more customers came. before i left he said that if i wanted to come over again just send him a letter and he'll drive me back from the airport.

revisiting Marugue

I had decided to go back to Kenya to visit Marugue again. I had a lot of stuff on my hands so I figured Marugue could cheer me up. I packed my things and brought extra money for the trip ahead. I even brought my battery powered fan to keep me cool. As I arrived in Kenya, I saw the streets they were some what crummy and the buildings were decent. certainly not a New New York. When I came to Marugue's village, I was greeted with a little less curiosity from the villagers as I been there before. I knocked on Marugue's door and asked if I could come in. He ushered me in and gave me some tea. It was kind of bitter and I asked "do you have any milk?" he nodded and then replied, "goat milk or cow milk?" I said cow and it was a little less bitter. being very tired from the flight I asked Marugue if I could go to town. he shook his head and "much too dangerous for boys like you, I will come. We came to the 'bus' which was a van stuffed with people. Marugue traded a goat for a ride and I had to ride on the side. when we got off  I wandered into a mattress store and bought a higher quality mattress then the one Marugue had. When we got home I placed it on the floor and took a nap. Turns out, I sleep through half the day and Marugue is arriving home just as I woke up. I felt awful. he gave me some more tea and it helped a little. I had dinner, it was potatoes and meat with carrots. Tired and full Marugue and I fell asleep on the new beds. Marugue thanked me for the mattress and then fell asleep. 

the arbiters journy

once upon a time there was an alien religious group called the covenant. they had many species and revered ancient artifacts which they based most of their technology. among  this covenant their was a high ranking sangheili (which are already high in rank) named Thel 'Vadamee. he was respectful yet ruthless. and in the genocidal campaign against humanity he had conquered one of the most important planets at humanity's command, Reach. he had also tried to protect an ancient ring world that was made by their forerunners. however, a super soldier name John 117 destroyed the ring which soon gave John the name Demon. this failure to protect such an object was considered heresy and the Thel was striped of his rank and branded with the mark of shame. he was brought before the high prophets which were their own species, and was given the chance for redemption, to become the arbiter. the arbiter was a suicidal rank given to those who have lost honor to regain it through sacrifice. Thel claimed he was not worthy and yet accepted the rank. his first mission was to travel to a forerunner gas mine, where a heretic hid. the arbiter was to silence him. as they arrived at the base they fought through his followers and the arbiter soon reached the heretic and prepared to kill him. the heretic tried to convince the arbiter that his religion was false. after they fought and the arbiter killed the leader, a small floating robot called the oracle began to tell him that the ring which they revered was a weapon but the brute chieftain tartarus grabbed the oracle and they flew back to the covenant city High Charity. there the arbiter learned that one of the leaders of the covenant was killed by none other than John 117. the sangheili were replaced by the jiralhanae (brutes). the arbiter was sent to a different halo to retrieve a key that would activate the ring and transcend them into god hood. however as he fought through the world's parasites and enemies he finally found the key however as he gave it to tartarus the brute informed him that the sangheili were to be killed and threw the arbiter into a massive chasm. there he was caught by a gravemind which controlled the parasites on the ring. John was their too and the arbiter immediately  attempted to kill the demon but the gravemind's tentacle restrained him he then proved to the arbiter that the ring world halo was a weapon he teleported the 2 heroes to their places to stop the rings from firing. the arbiter came near the control room of halo. he fought off brutes and other species that sided with the prophets. this soon escalated into a civil war. other species sided with the sangheili due to either respect or being treated unfairly by the prophets as he killed more brutes he reached a platform were several humans were fighting the brutes. the brutes had most of the loyalists at their command and the arbiter knew what needed to be done. and sided with the humans. he got in a banshee (which is a covenant jet) and flew into the control room. the humans captured a scarab which is a covenant super tank to brake the control room doors. as the doors broke the arbiter flew in and entered the control room. tartarus was holding a human which he was forcing to activate the ring. the arbiter tried to convince him to stop but tartarus did not listen and activated the ring. the arbiter battled tartarus with a team of elites to help while the humans sniped him to lower his shields. after much fighting the arbiter struck down the chieftain and the human who was forced to activate the ring, deactivated it by by removing the key. the arbiter than traveled to earth were the humans were fighting more loyalists. he told the humans the loyalists weakness. and then proceeded to end the covenant once and for all.

When I woke up marguerite was already working on the farm. He asked. "would you like some eggs for breakfast?". I said yes and they tasted good. I said that I wanted to go to the market place. When we arrived there was many people in little tents and spices and various veggies were stacked on top of each other. i saw some delicious peppers and asked if we could get some. margue then said to the barter "my name is marugue, i have brought a friend from america, he would like some of these peppers." he payed and we walked down town and looked at some novelty shops. "tourists always want something fake not real" stated marugue. marugue asked if he could come to the united states. i said "why wait we could go tomorrow" we went on a long hike and came back tired. marugue and i packed our things to go back to the states

as i arrived in marugue's village many children came to greet me. they said that margue had been waiting a while and that i was late. i apolagised to marugue for the delay. he said that he wanted to read me a book so he pulled out the book a cat in a hat. after he finished reading, which was pretty good for one who hasn't had education for over 70 or so years. he then asked if i wanted somthing to eat. i replied "yes i'm very hungry" he cooked me a  delicious blend of corn, various potatoes and beef. he asked if i would like to see the school i said yes and i followed him to the school house. the walk was long but we got to see many of the students. they treated me like some kind of alien, just giving me looks of curiosity.

margue and i went back to his house made some dinner and slept. the beds unfortunately were kind of uncomfortable

on my way from home from south sudan, i stopped in kenya. i was invited to eldoret.
